Huntington Learning Center - ACT Practice Tests

On February 28, 2023, all Lakota East Juniors will take a live ACT test during the school day. This is an official test that students can, if they wish, submit on their college applications. Even though some colleges and universities are operating under a “test optional” policy for the time being, they still consider this score to be very important in their admissions decision. In addition, most schools still tie this score to merit scholarship opportunities and direct admission into some college programs. This is an opportunity for your student to enhance their college application by submitting their score.

In order to help our Juniors to better prepare for the test, Lakota East High School and Huntington Learning Center have teamed up to offer an ACT Practice Test to be held at the Lakota East Campus Saturday, January 14, 2023.  

It is encouraged that every Junior who is taking a live ACT this school year sit for this test. It is also a great opportunity for sophomores to get their first look at the test.

Testing begins at 8:00 am.  Students should arrive at 7:30 am in order to complete the sign-in process prior to the start of the test.  The testing will be held in the Lakota East Community Room. Your son/daughter will be taking a retired ACT exam under test-like conditions. The test will take approximately 4-hours. 

The cost is $40.00. Due to the size limitations of the Community Room, there are a maximum of 90 seats available for the practice test. Please register early to be sure you have a seat.

 

HOW TO REGISTER

There are three ways to register for the January 14, 2023 Group Test.

Option 3:  Scan the following QR Code with your mobile phone to go to the registration site.

Once you are on the site:

1.             Select “CONTINUE”

2.             Enter your information into each box, then select “NEXT” 

3.             Complete the payment information, then select “CONFIRM REGISTRATION”

4.             You will receive an email confirming your registration.

 

PRACTICE TEST RESULTS MEETING

Dan Mathis, owner of Huntington Learning Center in West Chester, will be here on Tuesday, January 24 at 6:00 pm in the Lakota East Community Room to discuss how the ACT score is used in the college application process as well as go over your student’s score report. During this session, your student will receive a detailed analysis of their results which will help pinpoint areas of strength as well as the areas that were a challenge on the test. 

Please put this date on your calendar now, as it is best for you and your student to attend this session together. The session will last approximately 60-minutes.
