Current Juniors at Lakota East!

All juniors will be taking the state provided ACT in late February. This is a real ACT that the state of Ohio pays for in the junior year for all students. We encourage juniors to begin preparing for this test. This week, the School Counselors shared out information to help juniors understand what the ACT covers and how to prepare for the test. Check out this slide, and begin preparing for this important test. NOTE: Any student can register for a national ACT, which are held on Saturdays throughout the year, visit ACT.org for more information. The state provided ACT in February will be during a school day and LEHS will be registering students in February for this test. There are no test registration needs for students at this time, for the state provided ACT.

This past week during 5th bell Advisory students were shown a presentation about Experience Tracking and Schoolinks. Schoolinks is a tool that Lakota students use for course planning, career search, college search/applications and a place where students can track their experiences throughout high school. The presentation reviews some of the options in Schoolinks that help students plan to meet graduation requirements. Families can view and listen to the Experience Tracker presentation here.
