Dear Families,

All forms of assessment provide valuable information for schools. Local and state testing is essential to assess our students' learning and to help us improve educational outcomes. Maintaining fairness and accuracy is vital for the benefit of all students.

Testing Violations Any action that undermines the fairness of testing is considered a violation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sharing test questions or answers with other students.
  • Using unauthorized materials or devices during the test.
  • Receiving assistance from others during the exam.
  • Disrupting the testing environment for other students.

Consequences of Violations Violations of Ohio State Testing rules can lead to serious repercussions, including:

  • Invalidation of Test Scores: If a violation is confirmed, the student's test score may be voided, meaning they will not receive a score for that subject.
  • Disciplinary Action: Depending on the severity of the violation, students may face disciplinary measures as outlined in the student code of conduct.
  • Impact on School Accountability: Test security violations can negatively impact the school's overall performance ratings, which in turn can affect funding and resources that benefit all students.

We ask for your cooperation in ensuring that all students are prepared, follow the rules, and maintain the integrity of the testing process. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
