Ohio State Test (OST) Dates for 2026

Ohio State Test (OST) Dates for 2026

Spring 2026 OST Testing Parent Communication

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Throughout the academic year, our dedicated educators have been preparing students for the Ohio State Tests.  These assessments will be administered on the specified dates for students enrolled in the relevant courses. It is important to note that the majority of tenth-grade students will be undertaking multiple examinations.

On each testing day, we will run a delayed bell schedule to accommodate an uninterrupted block of time for students to complete testing. Students who ARE testing will report to school at regular time, 8:10 a.m., to take their test(s).  Students who are NOT testing will report to school at 10:00 a.m. with classes beginning at 10:10 a.m.

OST April Testing Schedule 2026

Wednesday, April 15

The assessments will be administered during the first part of the day using Chromebooks, so students should ensure that their Chromebooks are charged the night before. Students who are tardy will not be allowed to enter classrooms once testing has begun. It is extremely important for students to be in attendance on test days. Students not in attendance will have the opportunity to complete testing during a make up window.

Participation in Algebra I and English II is a graduation requirement.  If a student is in a Geometry class, they are required to take Geometry this year; if the student also needs to retake Algebra I, the student will take Geometry on the test day and be pulled on a later date to retake the Algebra I test.  Earning a passing score on the other tests could be beneficial towards meeting future Graduation Seal requirements. If you are interested in learning more about these assessments and graduation requirements, please visit the following websites:

Typically, the Ohio Department of Education sends spring test results to schools by the end of June. Printed family reports are usually sent to families in September. Results from Ohio’s State Tests, along with other data, will guide support and enrichment opportunities that we implement next year to make sure we are moving your child forward in his/her learning.

If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher or school counselor–Tara Bessler (A-De), Andrea Bryant (Df-He), Nina Inzero (Hf-Mh), Angie Fischer (Mi-Sf), Jennifer Millard (Sg-Z).

Delayed Start for Non-Testers

For any main campus student who is not required to take these tests, there will be a two-hour late arrival. East Freshman students will not have delayed starts. All testing for our freshmen will occur during their typically scheduled school day. More detailed information will be provided as we approach the April testing dates.

Again, this delayed start is only for the Main Campus.
