Parade of Graduates May 18, 2026

POG 2026 Student Bus List

Timing/Location

Please plan to arrive at Lakota East High School at 9AM on Monday, May 18. Many students will be attending Senior Events on campus prior to the Parade of Graduates. Students will gather at the rear of the building and parade down Mainstreet to the main gym.  If you would like to participate in other Senior activities such as the Car Show, please contact Nichole Bruce (room 210) or Kayley Shafner (room 219).

Buses arrive between 9:20 and 9:40. We will dismiss each school separately to load the appropriate bus. There will be a teacher/chaperone on each bus. They will check attendance and have access to your emergency medical information. All buses will be back to Lakota East High School around 11:30 AM. Buses will not be held for late students.

What To Wear

Bring your Cap and Gown but leave your tassel at home!!!   There are no extra tassels available for Graduation.  Students are expected to wear their cap and gowns, attire under those garments should be comfortable. No formal attire needed. 

SENIOR SIGNS!

The main reason we have this event is for the ELEMENTARY students. They remember this Parade for years to come and are so inspired by seeing the big kids (YOU) who are GRADUATING!

To inspire them, seniors are expected to make signs with their names, post-secondary plans, and/or something the little kids might identify with. Please make the signs large enough for the elementary students to see from a distance.

Many seniors like to attach their sign to their gown with safety pins during the Parade so their hands can be free to wave!
