Principal's Message - November 8, 2025

Principal's Message - November 8, 2025

Hello ThunderHawk families,

We hope all of our students enjoyed the extra day off on Tuesday!

Next week, we are excited to host our annual Veterans Day Program on Thursday, November 13. This is always a meaningful event, and we look forward to honoring those who have served our country.

This weekend, our PTSO will be hosting its highly anticipated Arts and Craft Show. This event has grown into a tradition recognized throughout the surrounding communities, and we are so grateful for the hard work of our PTSO and volunteers in making it possible. We hope everyone takes the opportunity to attend and enjoy the show!

We also want to wish our Singing Thunderhawks safe travels and the best of luck as they represent Lakota East in Washington, D.C., at the National Veterans Ceremony on November 11!

  • They will be the only choir from across the nation performing at this prestigious event.
  • Performances will take place at DAR Constitution Hall at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
  • On November 12, the choir will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery and pay respects at several sites honoring our fallen heroes.
  • The choir will return to school on November 13 and perform during our Lakota East Veterans Day Ceremony.

Please be sure to review all of the important information below, especially details regarding upcoming End-of-Course exams for students enrolled in Government, as well as makeup exams for those who did not meet the cut score on their first attempt.

Also, don’t miss the updated information in the Counselors’ Corner.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and school community.
Have a great weekend and Go Thunderhawks!

Have a great weekend,

Matt MacFarlane
