Principal's Message - October 17, 2025
Hello Hawk Families,
We hope you all enjoy Fall Break as we officially close out the first quarter of the school year. It’s been a week full of celebration and community spirit at Lakota East. We enjoyed two incredible performances—the Fall Band Concert and the Fall Choral Concert—where our talented students showcased their hard work and musical growth. Senior Nights have wrapped up for most of our fall activities, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our seniors and their families. Your dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact on our school, and we are grateful for the energy and commitment you’ve brought to Lakota East.
This week also featured a special civic engagement opportunity as our Spark students hosted a Meet the Candidates Night, giving the community a chance to hear directly from school board candidates. The Lakota East Broadcasting Club recorded and published the event online, and you can watch it here.
Looking ahead to next week, we’ll be running a 2-hour delay schedule on Tuesday for the PSAT. On Wednesday, we’re thrilled to host the Senior Bonfire from 7:00–9:00 PM—a fun and memorable evening for our graduating class. Thursday is Parent-Teacher Conference night, so please check Home Access Center (HAC) to see if you want to schedule a time to meet with your student’s teachers. Finally, Friday’s East vs. West football game is at home, and we’re looking forward to seeing our Lakota community come together for a night full of school spirit and shared pride. It’s always a special evening thanks to the energy and support from everyone involved.
Thank you all for an amazing first quarter. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited to see what we can achieve in the second quarter.
