Graduation Auditions

Interested in being a part of your graduation? Singing and Speech auditions are coming up in April. Any interested senior is welcome!

Resilience Scholarship

The Resilience Scholarship Fund was established in 2019 in memory of Dan Weckstein, a former administrator at Hopewell Junior School. Dan passed away from brain cancer but demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience throughout his battle.

The scholarship will award $1,000 to a current senior in the Lakota Local School District who is planning to enroll in a post-secondary educational program.  The recipient will be chosen based on the resilience they’ve demonstrated in the face of personal or family-related adversity.  Anyone who has battled through a challenging situation is encouraged to share their story and apply.

PTSO Senior Scholarships

The PTSO is excited to announce that our annual Senior Scholarship applications are now available to seniors.  The PTSO will be awarding four $750 scholarships, one for each of the four categories: Change the World, Be Bold, Balanced Life and Impact of Arts.

Senior Solstice

March 20th is our third and final Senior Solstice of the year. This is a great time for our seniors to enjoy a continental breakfast of juice, pastries and fruit, interact with a menagerie of reptiles from DinoBuddies LLC., hear some senior-specific info from our administrators, and try to win a raffle item!

Students can start to get their breakfast prior to their first class. We will be operating on a modified block day, with our program taking the place of T-Hawk time.

 

Graduation Yard Signs

Orders begin in March. {Sales end April 3.}

Are you proud of a graduating senior? Grab a sign for your front yard to commemorate their accomplishments and celebrate your school pride! 
These two-sided signs, sold by LEHS PTSO, are 24" x 18" and made of sturdy, corrugated plastic with a metal stand. $20 each.
The pick up location (off of Tylersville Rd.) of the PTSO volunteer coordinator will be included in your emailed purchase receipt.

Pick up dates begin on April 4, and more will be added.

 

Military Commitment Ceremony

WE are proud to announce Lakota’s eighth annual Military Commitment Ceremony, honoring our seniors who have committed to serving in a branch of the United States military and those attending a military academy. This special event is our way of recognizing and celebrating the dedication and bravery of our students as they embark on this honorable path.

Both Lakota East and West high schools will host individual ceremonies. Lakota Central students may choose to attend either event. The Lakota East ceremony will take place on April 23 at 1:30 p.m., while the Lakota West ceremony will be held on April 30 at 8:30 a.m. 

Seniors who are following this path after graduation are asked to complete the signup form by April 11. This will ensure that we can properly honor each student's commitment and provide them with the recognition they deserve.

We look forward to celebrating the commitment and achievements of our students. Thank you for your service and dedication!
