Senior Section - May 12, 2023

We continue getting closer, and by the end of this week, we will be in the final stretch! It is an exciting time, and we are looking forward to a great night next Wednesday. 

Notes From Last Thursday’s Senior Meeting

Senior Week Schedule

This information is included in the notes from the meeting, but for simplicity’s sake, here is a bulleted list final week for seniors:

• Friday, May 12 - Seniors Final Day - We will provide a modified schedule to allow for Chromebook collection and the return of other materials.
• Monday, May 15 - Graduation Practice - LEHS Main Gymnasium - Check-in by 8:30; practice begins at 9 AM
  • Graduation Tickets distributed during the rehearsal
• Tuesday, May 16
  • Senior Car Show - 7:30 - 8:45 AM
  • Senior Breakfast (Donuts) and Gathering - Stadium - 9:00 AM
  • Senior Parade down Main Street - 9:15 AM 
  • Parade of Graduates - 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM (No Re-Entry into the building after 9:30 AM)
  • Senior Picnic - Stadium - 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
• Wednesday, May 17 - Graduation @ Cintas Center - 8 PM
  • Doors open at 6:30; All seniors must be checked in by 7 PM

Senior’s Final Day and Meeting - Friday, May 12

Our seniors will follow their normal schedule thru Thursday, May 11 as they finish second semester exams. On Friday, seniors who have 1st or 2nd period classes should report at their normal times so that they are counted for attendance. Seniors with Flex schedules who do not have 1st or 2nd Period classes should report at the start of 2nd period - 9 AM and report to the auditorium. We will have a rotation in which seniors have a final meeting, turn in Chromebooks, and clean out lockers. Once these things are completed, seniors will be dismissed for the day. We anticipate this being completed by 10:30 AM.

Graduation Ticket Update

The Graduation Ticket Request Form is still open for anyone who needs to order tickets. We will close it by the end of the day on Wednesday so that we can begin sorting the tickets into envelopes for distribution at Graduation Practice.

Senior Picnic

The PTSO invites our East seniors to join us for some free food and fun in the stadium after the Parade of Graduates on Tuesday, May 16.  The PTSO is still looking for donations and volunteers. Car Show

Car Show will be held on Tuesday May 16^th. If you would be interested in participating with a group of friends, please decide on a theme and see Ms. Shafner in room 219 or Mrs. Bruce in room 210 to sign up

Senior Survey

The Senior Survey is REQUIRED for all students graduating in May 2023. This Survey is important in order to send your final transcript to the correct destination and confirm your participation in the Graduation Ceremony on May 17^th.

• Log in your student Naviance Account through One Login.
• Go to “About Me” in the top right corner of the screen and click on “Surveys From Your School”
• Under My Surveys, click to open the Lakota Graduation Survey 2023.
• Please complete the survey by May 1, 2023.
