Students just a reminder: Outside food and drink are not permitted at Lakota East High School.
Parking Permits for 2024-2025
Students, it is time to apply for your parking spot for the current 24/25 school year! The application is open to all licensed Lakota East students and you must apply for a spot yearly! To apply for your parking spot you will need to apply using your Chromebook, Onelogin and Lakota Email at https://forms.gle/JHbfSbsusDPT6Zup7 . Students found driving to school without a parking pass will be referred for discipline.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors! The application for the 25/26 Parking Spot Application is open to all licensed Lakota East students and you must apply for a spot yearly! To apply for your parking spot you will need to apply using your Chromebook, Onelogin and Lakota Email at https://forms.gle/QauKqZENbmQsJW2b6 Parking passes will be available in August and you will not receive an email confirmation.
College Visits
Juniors and Seniors: If you will be going on a college visit, please bring a note in from your parents 1 week prior to your scheduled visit. You will receive a pink sheet to take around to your teachers and return back to the main office. Juniors and Seniors get 3 excused college visits per year.
Jazz Fest
We are very excited to announce the 5th Annual 2025 Lakota East Jazz Fest on Saturday, May 10th from 5-9pm! This event will include music from the Eastside Jazz Orchestra, East Jazz Ensemble, East Jazz Lab Band, East Freshman Jazz Ensemble, Liberty Junior High Jazz Band, and Hopewell Junior High Jazz Band. The event will also include food trucks, an ice cream truck from Jolly Treats, and an Upbeat Club sponsored hot dog stand.
Tickets for this event will be $5.00 and can be purchased at the door as well as at both high school band concerts during the week leading up to the event. All proceeds benefit the Lakota East Upbeat Club, directly supporting all Lakota East band students & guard. Thank you for your support of our students!
Spanish Club
The Spanish Club will meet on Thursday, May 8th after school to celebrate the end of the year and to induct the new members to the National Spanish Honor Society. We will meet at the front of Main Street right after school and walk over to El Rancho Grande together. All Spanish Club members must have a signed permission form to join us and must bring their own money for food. You can get your permission form from your Spanish teacher.
Congratulations to our IncubatorEDU
Congratulations to Connor Klemm, Alvaro Fernandez Vazquez, and Luke Shaw on their first-place finish Wednesday night at the final round of IncubatorEDU. They received a check for $1000 towards their startup business, Mafia Golf.
Honorable mention to Deeptag Kaur, Ange Warene Kedze-Kum, and Emmy Burgei with Magnesia Nails. In addition to Lakota finalists, they were invited and competed in the final round of Innovators held on the campus of Illinois Weslyan University in early April.
Medicine PickUp
All medications left in the clinic will be destroyed if not pick up by parent by 5/22/25 at 10:00 am. Please contact the clinic if you need to make any special arrangements for medication pick up or if you would rather us destroy the medications. Have a great summer! Thank you!
