Starting October 2nd, Lakota East is going to be offering Seniors the opportunity to participate in the inaugural XH Sprint Course, The Game of Life.  12 sprints have been developed with the partnership of various local community businesses to teach our students the “Life Skills” that we all know they need to learn to be successful in life, but don’t have time to interweave into our courses.  Skills such as changing a tire, writing a resume, networking, stress management, self defense, nutrition, finding an apartment, managing a budget, digital footprints, and protecting your credit will be addressed. The intent of the event is to help students be better prepared for life after East, wherever their path will take them.  It is NOT a requirement that students attend any or all of the events. But, as an incentive, seniors that attend at least six sprints will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win free prom tickets. Seniors that have late arrival on Wednesdays that sign up for an event should report directly to the sprint class at 9:40.

In order to attend, students need to preregister for EACH event at:

The dates are set, but the topics are being updated daily as we are confirming speaker availability.
