2023 After Prom
Prom night doesn't end when Prom is over!
After Prom is a safe way to keep the fun going after the Prom.
Location and theme may change yearly.
Last Year's AfterProm was held at Dave & Busters. The event began after the Prom at 11:30 pm, and went until 4:00 am the following morning. Tickets for Prom, AfterProm, and Combination Prom/After Prom tickets were sold prior to the event.
Have a knack for event planning? Join the After Prom Committee to create a show-stopping After Prom in 2023! Volunteers are always welcomed to staff events.

Future Hawks Night
Lakota East PTSO hosts three Future Hawk Nights during the school year. During these events, the Thunderhawk spirit is promoted by giving away Future Hawk items at the gate/door.
Future Hawk Nights are a great way to gather all of our future Lakota East Thunderhawks to sporting events and show them our tremendous high school spirit, community, and fun, therefore instilling a sense of school pride among our school community!
- Fall Football Game: Aug. 19, 2022

Calling all future Thunderhawks! Join us for the Future Hawk Night at the Lakota East Varsity Football game on August 19. Our Thunderhawks will be taking on Centerville!
Starting at 5:30pm, our East-Side Early Childhood and Elementary Schools will be providing music, games and give-a-ways for some pre-game FUN! At 6:15, K-6 Students have the opportunity to gather with their school community for a Future Hawk parade around the Hawks Nest! Students will join our award-winning Marching Thunderhawks on the field to form a tunnel as the Thunderhawks rush onto the field! Students will then be returned to their families to enjoy the game and amazing half-time show! Don’t miss this opportunity to show your EAST-SIDE PRIDE!
Community members are invited for the pre-game celebration behind the stadium prior to kick-off!
Admission is FREE for all K-6 attending students of East-Side Early Childhood and Elementary Schools for pre-game festivities and the football game!

Senior Picnic
Each year, the PTSO sponsors the Senior Picnic. The event is held on or near the last official day seniors must report for class. We take great joy in celebrating our seniors and their accomplishments throughout their time at Lakota East.
Food, a DJ, Kona Ice truck, raffles, and much more! Inflatables generously loaned for the event by Lakota Hills Baptist.
Barb Bossu Volunteer Spirit Award
Every year, the District Parent Council helps Lakota honor its most dedicated volunteers as recipients of the esteemed Barb Bossu Volunteer Spirit Award. Honoring a volunteer at the district level and from each of Lakota’s 22 schools, the award commemorates a former parent volunteer and Union Elementary PTA president, Barb Bossu.
The award was established in 1990 to commemorate Barb’s very special dedication to public education. The DPC determines the district winner and each building determines its own school recipient, as nominated by members of the school community. All honorees are recognized at a district-wide ceremony near the end of the school year.
Nominations for 2022 have concluded.
2022's ceremony was held on April 27, at 9:30 AM, at East HS (reception with refreshments from 9-9:30 AM.)
