- It is a complicated event, and we are exploring a Dave and Busters option.
- We can get a package from Dave and Busters that includes food being served throughout the evening, with unlimited soda, tea, and coffee. Each student would also get a $20 power card, and unlimited games that do not produce tickets. We could decorate, and bring in outside entertainment as well.
- Current Budget: $15,000, which was cut from prior years of $20,000.
- $15,000 would cover 400 students in the Dave and Busters option and we have been told we should expect 400-800 students when planning.
- Our expected income is around $6000 because there is a charge for after-prom.
- There is a possibility to price the tickets lower on the first week of sale, and increase it from there every week.
- The Prom Committee was enthusiastic about the Dave and Busters idea.

Let school be our kids' sense of normalcy.
- There are some amazing things going on - yesterday there was an unbelievable Veteran's Day Assembly. It is starting to feel like normal again even though the challenges are still there.

- Is there an option for people to pre-order from the vendors and pick-up day of? Online is currently not set up for this year; not all vendors are online sellers currently -Vendor response has been positive
- Can we sell tickets online for this event or should we accept cash at the door? Maybe we will do a hybrid option this year for ticket sales
- Because this event is afterhours and geared to adults, we have the ability to make certain covid protocol decisions and expectations – we are requested to follow the CDC for cleaning and spacing boundaries
- We can get creative with vendor space using the upstairs area if needed -Consideration of timed entry in reference to online tickets if we sell tickets that way

PRINCIPALS’ REPORTS:
Rob Burnside, East Principal
- Thank you to this group for the dedication to this school
- Proud of the staff and students for handling the beginning of the school year especially with the news that masks were required right before school started
- The masks are helping us keep our kids here and do what we want to do
- The way the year has started in spite of the challenges, the students have tackled this with diligence
- The Back-to-School Party was great and something we would love to continue
- Two Themes for this year: Connect and Celebrate
- Staff Luncheon: remarkable meal and the staff appreciated this act
- Future Hawk Night was a great, energetic event – thank you to the PTSO
- Thank you for reconsidering the request for fireworks
- Thank you for flexibility with senior parking spot painting – this meant a lot to our students
- Great start to the school year so far; kids and staff are settling in
- There is a great plan for the homecoming dance coming up
- The first conference night is virtual, and the rest are to be determined at this time
- Curriculum Nights will be sent out by links to watch the videos for each teacher; these will be available on Friday, September 10
- Request to send out parking regulations to all parents
- What happens when teachers are out and missing instructional time? The challenge is if these staff members are able to stay connected on Canvas and continue to post work or if they cannot, and there is also currently a substitute teacher shortage. The priority is to ensure that our students’ grades do not suffer because of any staff absence.
- Have we considered social distancing at lunch? For the freshman building, there is consideration to open the Gym since it is open during that period. At the Main Campus, the issue is that with masks off the required non exposure distance becomes 6 feet instead of 3 feet. There may not be enough space or staffing to accommodate this at the main campus at this time.
Nicole Isaacs, Freshman Campus
- Thank you to the PTSO for getting creative when the school has needs
- Bussing call offs are being sent out as soon as it is received; there are currently 0 subs for these drivers
- Freshman Curriculum Night links will be in the same place as Main Campus
- Thank you for the pantry donations
- Football games and Homecoming are new to both freshman and sophomores at this time and the school is thankful for these opportunities
